Ruzanna Hanesyan is a process-based artist born in Yerevan, Armenia. Her works explore Armenian identity, home, time, and space. Using various (Armenian) craft-making techniques, the artist's practice is slow, hand-work that requires time. The work is ritualistic references historical artifacts, poetry, and family history. The process begins with the unmaking and making of the craft. To capture a shape or a movement that is in between the artist and space.
