Ruzanna Hanesyan is a mixed media process-based artist and embroiderer based in Los Angeles. Drawing inspiration from her cultural heritage Ruzanna's pieces often evoke a sense of nostalgia, making the past come alive in the present. Born and raised in Armenia, and the bridge between her Armenian heritage and Los Angeles, had an immense influence on her work. The works often speak to the processes of returning to craft and material in a form of memorialization and distortion.
